Since its beginnings, Westwood has been a club where the emphasis is on family. So, it's no surprise that family and children's activities abound. 

Tennis leagues, individual and group lessons and special events encourage younger players to hone their skills in a nonthreatening setting. Young swimmers likewise may take advantage of swim teams and classes, including year-round USS program. In addition, over the summer months, Westwood youngsters can take part in day camps, and weeklong sports and tennis camps. 

The shaded recreational sports court is a great spot for a quick game of one-on-one basketball, or a not-so-serious volleyball challenge. And, just steps from the main facilities is Lake Austin, where members can enjoy water skiing, swimming, and boating. 

Special family events are a tradition at Westwood. From family night in the Dining Room, poolside cookouts, Easter egg hunts and Sunday brunches, to Fourth of July barbecues and the annual Dive-In Movie Night, every season brings opportunities for families and friends to meet and play. 

Parents can enjoy Westwood's facilities knowing even the youngest family members are in good hands. The experienced staff of the club's Learning Center provide care and age-appropriate activities to children. Reasonably priced and available during morning club hours, the Learning Center is conveniently located near the pool and main building.
